Information for Training Day and Celebration of Skills

Outline details:

Monday 21 October

  • Competitors to arrive in London on Monday evening to check into hotel, ready for next day: Premier Inn London City (Tower Hill) – see link above.

Training Day, Tuesday 22 October

  • 9:00am – 4:00pm– competitors only; no guests allowed.
  • After the training day we will be heading to Tower Pier for 4.45pm, for an exhilarating team building experience!
  • Once the activity has finished (circa 6pm), you are free to go for the evening.
  • Tuesday night accommodation provided at same location – Premier Inn London City (Tower Hill).

Celebration of Skills, Wednesday 23 October

  • You will need to arrive at BAFTA 195 Piccadilly at 11.30am
  • The event will finish after lunch at around 3.30pm
  • You can bring up to 3 guests:
    • 1x training provider guest
    • 1x employer guest
    • 1x personal guest
  • You must confirm to us by 31 July how many of these guests are planning to attend: 1, 2 or all 3.

Support towards accommodation and travel

Travel

  • You and your guests will need to make your own return travel arrangements to London, which NET will contibrute towards (as detailed below) upon receipt of an expense claim form.
  • Competitors: please plan travel times to arrive at the Premier Inn on the evening of Mon 21 October, ready for an early start the next day.
  • Your guests can arrive at any stage. If they travel to London with you, they’ll need to find something to do during the Training Day and meet you at Tower Pier at 4:45pm.

Accommodation:

  • Accommodation for competitors has been booked and paid for by NET for the nights of Monday 21 & Tuesday 22 October.
  • If any of your guests plan to stay overnight in London, they will need to book their accommodation separately (unless they are sharing a room with you e.g. partner) – NET is unable to cover accommodation for guests.

Costs supported by NET

  • Up to £100 per person for standard class return rail travel – for competitors and guests in England.
  • Competitors and guests in Scotland and Northern Ireland – NET will liaise with you on your specific arrangements.

It is in your interest for you and your guests to book travel ASAP in order to secure lower prices.

ACTION NEEDED:

  1. Watch the Celebration of Skills invite and return the RSVP form by 31 July 2024.
  2. Plan/book your travel to London and advise your guests to do the same – please share this web page with them so they are aware of the plans.
  3. Claim your travel expenses following the process supplied in Jennie’s email by Friday 02 August.

We have to provide final numbers to the venue ASAP. We must have details of any guests you wish to bring by the 31 July.
