Congratulations to Thomas Lewis who made the electrical industry proud last week when he competed as part of Team UK at EuroSkills 2018. Despite missing out on a medal, Tom showed great skill during the competition.
His coach Gareth Jones said: “Tom completed the build in good time and despite the pressure and intensity of international competition he put on an excellent performance. Overall it was a positive experience for Thomas and he will now go forward with new confidence.”
Tom said: “I’m feeling good after the competition and I did everything I could out there. It was a great experience and I’ve learned a lot from it. It will really help me if I get selected to any other international competition. Going to EuroSkills has been a great eye-opener in what to expect in international competitions and I’m glad I got selected to go.”
Tom is now one of three past SkillELECTRIC competitors who have a chance to compete in Russia next year at WorldSkills Kazan 2019.
